Today the students in the Honours Class studied about vacation activities and also read a challenging text about a trip to Peru one hundred years ago.
In the standard class, students talked about their weekly routines and learned vocabulary for activities.
◇新しく知った単語などは、辞書を調べて、ノートに書き留めるなどの復習をすると効果的です。

The Honours Class studied weather and the Standard Classes studied routines. Today I was so pleased with the writing of both the Honours Class and the Standard classes. There was a lot detail, and grammar was largely correct. There were some very challenging reading comprehension exercises in both classes which were completed very well.
◇上級クラスの方では先週からやや難しめのReadingに挑戦してもらっています。短い授業時間だけでは十分に理解できなかったかもしれません。お家でぜひ復習させてください。お母さんがご本人に日本語でストーリーを説明してもらうのもよい方法だと思います。
◇標準クラスでは、ライティングの指導などにティーチングアシスタントがついて、きめ細かく指導をしていました。お家では、アルファベットに慣れるために、単語をノートに書き写すことをしてみると効果的でしょう。

This week the students at Kaetsu Saturday School used English to talk about families. They reviewed family member vocabulary and learned some new family vocabulary.
It was the first time for the Standard Class to try extended writing and the Honours Class tried very hard with a long reading comprehension exercise.
The details in the writing were very good and all students worked very hard.
